This simple app is extremely useful and necessary for drivers intending to unlock their trailers. It is available on both android and iOS operating systems. An important aspect is that it provides a secure mechanism to achieve the unlocking-locking feature. The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with the trailer’s lock, stripping away the need for any physical contact with it.
Account
After opening the app, proceed to login. Now, if you or your company already created an account while signing up for the Admiral Console, utilize the same account to log into the app. If you don’t have an account yet, the signup link at the bottom of the app will redirect you to the Admiral Console where you can finish up setting your account.
Auto Fob
When you are in close proximity of the trailer you want to unlock, the Auto Fob begins advertising via BLE. Most importantly, the smartphone’s Bluetooth needs to be switched on for the app to work. If you were initially near the correct trailer, it will automatically unlock the trailer without further action. In technical terms, the phone essentially acts as a beacon, broadcasting information for the correct trailer to identify and unlock.
Password Unlock
Alternatively, you can unlock the trailer via a One Time Password (OTP) or a Fleet password. The fleet password acts as an emergency password. However, if you do not know any of the passwords, please contact your company to obtain them.
